Rapper Drake To Take A “Break” From Singing To Focus On Health

Famous Canadian singer and rapper, Drake who recently released his new album, “For All The Dogs” announced that he will be taking a “break” from singing and music as he plans to focus on his health for the time being. The rapper said that he had been having health issues specifically with his stomach, and he plans on treating it during his break.

Hinting at his break, on Friday, the rapper revealed to SiriusXM show ‘Table for One’ that he would not be making music for a little while. Revealing the reason behind the break Drake stated that he needs to focus on his health which is the first and the foremost.

Talking about his health Drake revealed that he had been facing issues with his stomach for years now. Talking about the break Drake said that he’s going to “lock the door on the studio for a little bit”. He also hinted that the duration of his “little break” might be a year or it could be a little longer than that.

The rapper then took to his Instagram and shared a clip from the radio program and wrote, “See ya when I see ya.” Soon after his radio show appearance, several upcoming performances were postponed after he made his announcement. The rapper will be performing in Toronto, on Friday and Saturday night, however, all his performances after that, have been canceled according to the tour section of his website.

Apart from Drake, many other famous singers have previously taken a break or canceled their tours due to their concerns over their health issues. The list includes Madonna who recently took a break due to a serious bacterial infection. Apart from her, last month Bruce Springsteen also postponed his tour due to peptic ulcer.
