Rajinikanth Once Fell Seriously Ill, And Sridevi Kept Seven-Day Fast For His Speedy Recovery

The superstar Rajinikanth is all set to make his grand comeback to the silver screen with the release of his highly anticipated movie “Jailer” this month. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this film, but it wasn’t too long ago when the actor faced a severe health crisis.

In 2011, Rajinikanth was hospitalized and later transferred to Singapore due to complications. His condition was critical, and the news sent shockwaves through the film industry and his massive fan base. One person who was deeply affected by this news was the legendary actress Sridevi, who had shared the screen with Rajinikanth in an impressive 20 films.

Upon learning about Rajinikanth’s health, Sridevi was heartbroken. She decided to take matters into her own hands and turned to her faith in Sai Baba. Sridevi observed a week-long fast and fervently prayed for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery. She even made a discreet visit to the Sai Baba temple in Pune to offer her heartfelt prayers.

Thankfully, Rajinikanth made a remarkable recovery. This touching incident touched the hearts of fans and strengthened the bond between the two celebrated actors.

Sadly, Sridevi is no longer with us, and her untimely demise left a profound void among her fans worldwide. The Dubai authorities confirmed that her passing was a tragic accident, as she accidentally drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room after falling unconscious. Initially, there were reports of a cardiac arrest, but the truth was revealed later.

As fans eagerly anticipate Rajinikanth’s upcoming film “Jailer,” directed by Nelson, the excitement is tinged with nostalgia and a sense of loss for Sridevi. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The film is slated for release on August 10, and fans are hopeful for another blockbuster from the legendary actor.
