Today, Apple has seen fit to release the final Release Candidate build of its upcoming iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5, watchOS 9.5, macOS 13.4, and tvOS 16.5 to developers for testing purposes. Apple Seeds Release Candidate build of its upcoming iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5, watchOS 9.5, macOS 13.4, and tvOS 16.5 to developers
If you are a registered developer, you can download the latest Release Candidate build of iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 through the stock Settings app on your iPhone and iPad. Simply head over to Settings > General > Beta Updates and toggle it on the Developer Beta option. iOS 16.5 is a minor update as it will only bring a few features to the table.
Apart from iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5, Apple has also seeded the Release Candidate build of its forthcoming watchOS 9.5 update. The RC build can be downloaded on your compatible Apple Watch model through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone, Simply launch the app and head over to General > Software Update. Be sure to download the proper configuration profile from the Developer Center. Additionally, it is advised to follow the full prerequisites of installing watchOS updates.
Apple also seeded the Release Candidate build of its forthcoming macOS 13.4 update alongside iOS 16.5. The update can be downloaded and installed through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Developers should first install the proper configuration profile from the Developer Center before installing the RC build.
Lastly, Apple has released tvOS 16.5 Release Candidate build to developers which can be downloaded through a profile that you can install through Xcode. tvOS updates are minor in scale in terms of forward-facing features.
