Portland startup ConductorOne raises $5M for platform to automate IT access requests

ConductorOne announced a $5 million seed round led by Silicon Valley venture capital firm Accel. Fuel Capital, Fathom Capital and Active Capital also participated.

Founded late last year by veterans of enterprise ID startup Okta, ConductorOne will use the funding to build a platform that helps IT professionals automate and manage employee permissions for cloud apps and infrastructure.

Alex Bovee is co-founder and CEO, and Paul Querna is co-founder and CTO. Bovee was most recently an entrepreneur-in-residence at Accel. He previously held product management roles at Okta and Lookout, a San Francisco cloud security startup. Querna was a senior architect at Okta and previously CTO and founder of ScaleFT, acquired by Okta in 2018.

While headquartered in Portland, Ore., ConductorOne is “remote-first” and currently expanding its team. The company has a waitlist for its beta product launching this summer.
